I and my kids always keep looking for something to munch in the kitchen. So i try to make some finger snacks and store them for the kids. I never cook very large quantities of such snacks as they become boring after eating 2-3 times. And as the kids don't like to eat same snacks everytime i keep looking for different snack recipes all the time.
So while searching for such snacks i saw this recipe, and as all the ingredients were available in my kitchen i immediately decided to prepare it. Wheat and corn crackers are made with whole wheat flour or aata and cornflour. These crackers are basically just salted... to get the best taste out of the crackers we should have it with some dip or sauce. I made the tomato salsa as dip and the kids ended up eating it with Tomato ketchup.

Ingredients:
- 1/2 cup wheat flour
- 3/4 cup corn flour
- 1 tsp baking powder
- Salt to taste
- 1 tsp hot oil
- Oil for frying
Step by step method of wheat and corn crackers:
- In a mixing bowl, seive together wheat flour, corn flour, salt and baking powder.
Seive together all dry ingredients. - Now knead the dough using water little by little. Since cornflour does not have gluten in it thats why the dough won't be very stiff. So do not rest the dough as it may become loose and non pliable. Just when the dough is prepared add the hot oil and knead the dough again.
Kneaded flour - Now divide the dough into 4 equal balls. Dust the working space nicely with flour. Now take 1 ball and start rolling gently(it tends to break) with a rolling pin. Roll it as thin as possible widout breaking.
Roll out the ball as thin as possible - Now with the help of a pizza cutter or a sharp knife cut the crackers into desired shapes. I cut triangles(as it looks like nachos). Now deep fry them in medium hot oil.As it gets a light brown colour drain and keep aside. Repeat with all the dough balls.
Cut into triangles and deep fry - Tasty wheat and corn crackers are ready. Enjoy them with spicy tomato salsa or ketchup.
